Car Donut SmokeTrail- week 1
The Idea of the project revolves around a vehicle starting and completing a donut burnout in a parking lot. Focusing on the Smoke cloud allows me the chance to explore the pyro sim pipeline and work through its complexities.
To start the project off, gathering the references needed to understand the complexity and gain a game plan was needed.

Using the reference video above, we can start to analyze the parts that would need to be handled.
Reference Break Apart
We can break apart the reference into 4 main subjects that need focus to better mimic the reference video.
Point of Rotation that the car will be turning on is small and placed right at the front left wheel
Tire Treads are being left behind as the car rotates on the Point of Rotation
Seperate the simulations into 2 parts with one being focused on the tires
The second simulation having a longer life span compared to the one around the tire
During the above research of the shot, I have been working on the car that will be used in place of the supra. I will be using my 2019 Lexus NX-300 created in one of my previous classes.

Car with a Simple Rig Attached
To use the model for any simulation in Houdini, I have been making the model watertight to avoid any issues with simulations. Also, I have been working on a simple car rig that can be used on the car for steering of the wheels and general movement.
